We started our morning together watching Pinnochio in bed and after breakfast Finny watched Snow White while she clung to Dopey.
Papa Pete and Finny spend some time reading before it’s nap time. After a nap and lunch we were off to Central Park and the playground. By the time we got home, Gigi was pretty tired so Fin had a quick bath which for some reason she does not like at our house. I made her dinner, gave her some milk and she kept asking for a “movie” – oh how quickly they learn who is the soft touch – why it’s Papa Pete of course. So this is Finley Ray totally enthralled with Cinderella. BUT I did not let her watch the whole movie – we’ll finish it in the morning.
A bedtime story and it’s good night to you sweet Finny!

This is so sweet. I was used to seeing my two grandsons at least 3 days a week. My Mom moved in this past September. She has dementia and developed seizures. She recently had surgery because a cyst was found in her pancreas. Thank God it was not cancerous. She suddenly stopped eating one day, no matter what I offered. I knew I had to get her to a dr ASAP. She was admitted to the hospital on May 5th and released a week later. The dr didn’t have to do as much as he thought, but she now has a temporary (I hope) feeding tube in her stomach. I have to start the feeding about 8 pm, and disconnect her at 8 am. She hates it, but doesn’t remember not eating at all. So, most of my time has been spent caring for her. I have sisters, but they work. I had to leave my job in September to care for Mom. She is now 87. I miss seeing the grandsons only once a week. But my good friend has offered to come once during the week and on Saturdays so I can go see them. Grandchildren just give you what u need. Once they are out of school for the summer, my daughter-in-law is going to come for a few hours once a week, and I get to spend more time with the boys! She is in nursing school, so her schedule is busy, but I am touched that she has offered to do this for me. I had a total melt down last night,. I was missing the grandsons so badly, but got to see them today. Sorry to ramble, but the picture of Finley at Gigi’s made me think of my own. I know both you and Papa Pete enjoyed her. She sure has her own personality-you can tell by the pics! She is one lucky little girl, and you are lucky by having her.
