Oh WELL color me BLUE today! I cannot believe yesterday happened; one mere mention of a fairly insignificant blog on the SITS site and WOWIE YIKES – I had 259 hits to my blog in one day!!! Talk about a rush…it was so exciting for me because yes I am one of those bloggers who checks their stats just to see if any of the world is listening.
So what happens the next day when you look at your stats and the graph shows a line literally going up and off the chart and then there is a straight downward line which looks like it hit zero. Ugh, how depressing! The fact is the line did not hit zero it just looks that way and I guess for the next month until my graph moves beyond my day in the sunshine, all my stats will look puny.
It’s okay, I understand it was only 15 minutes of fame BUT what a great 15 minutes it was. I was a very grateful blogger and wrote to each person who commented thanking them for stopping by. Along the way I came across several very interesting blogs and got some good inspiration and even subscribed to a couple. I think I found a fellow blogger at the Jersey Shore, one town away. And speaking of the shore, I got to get off the computer, take a shower, go get some Starbucks and maybe just maybe put on bathing suit and go to the beach – it’s hotter than hell already this morning and me who owns a cottage still has a bottle tan. Well that’s what fear of the dreaded bathing suit will do to you or in other words, if you didn’t lose weight in the spring, you’ll be sorry in the summer.
Bill Ding and his band of clowns are the security patrol for this blog site. He is a favorite toy from the 50*s. By the way sometimes a blog is just an ego-maniacal stream of conscience.

Hey lori, u’ll always b a star in our eyes!! We just got back from walking @ the ocean w/ the two critters! So we arrived @ the pavilion just as all the biathalon folks were leaving.
What is wrong with those people! R they crazy doing what they do in this heat & SO early in the morning?
As we were trying to cool down in a patch of shade I overheard a woman talking about how she had been in montana last wk climbing some major mountain and was going bt rail later this week to alaska for another major climb somewhere! Clearly she’d ad way too much sun exposure!
So here’s to one of many hits for today. I still haven’t posted my promised retort to the strawberry vs cherry war! Hopefully today.

I came back! 🙂 I’m a stats addict too and I would definitely be bothered by the inevitable valley after that wonderful peak! Hope you made your way to the beach today! Sounds pretty close to heavenly but I’ve been longing for the sea lately! It’s a little out of reach since I live in Oklahoma!
