In the New Yorker this week, William Sorensen wrote an article titled “Text Slang for Baby Boomers“. Gail (thank you dear friend and blog supporter) sent it to me just in time for my Thursday’s Top Ten. Being a Baby Boomer myself and a “texter” I was anxious to read it. So if you receive a text from me with some NEW text abbreviations, you might refer to this list. Here are my top ten picks:
- WWIS – What was I saying?
- IV-NV – My kid is going to a big name college, neighbors are jealous.
- 3dickPM – Read three detective novels this afternoon.
- WILMA – Lost my keys
- X2EZ – crossword puzzle too easy
- 80/20 -wife doing more and more of the talking.
- NPR – sleep aid, no prescription required
- TN2WMP – Trying not to wet my pants.
- PNP – peeing in pants
- {——-} – another funeral today, can’t play poker, bridge/Scrabble

Bill Ding and his band of clowns are the security patrol for this blog site. He is a favorite toy from the 50*s. By the way sometimes a blog is just an ego-maniacal stream of conscience.
