Self-described Martha groupie, Mah Jongg junkie, Decorating Diva incorporating way too many collections. Obsessive about organization, etiquette (read appropriate social behavior) and according to husband, cleaning the house! Left of center politically, recovering Catholic, married to an atheist Jew. I have 50 goals I hope to meet before I’m “done” and about half have been accomplished. Some are looking pretty unlikely as time goes by BUT hey, you never know… One was to write a book, a short story or publish an article – maybe I can consider this blog as that one!
Divide life’s precious moments between celebrating life in New York City, nesting in our cottage in Ocean Grove New Jersey, doting on my two adorable granddaughters, Finley Ray and Francesca and the recent addition of a precious grandson, Fletcher, (just wish they didn’t live so far away!), and worrying about my other offspring living San Diego, who seems to live slightly off the grid! Am passionate about Jersey tomatoes, ice cream and Nick and Nora, our two rescue cats. Oh AND I’m also a real estate broker selling apartments in Manhattan.
I blog about my daily life; the crazy days as well as the good times, the places I go, the people I meet, the movies I see and the food I cook….in other words just like any other blog basically this is just an egocentric stream of consciousness.
Three of my favorite sayings are: ” Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain” and “….regardless, either way, the end result is still the same” and finally, ” Only the truly accessorized survive in the asphalt jungle”. Those three homilies are diverse, different and totally unrelated – much like me all together!

Never was sure this was you. I am getting so computer savvy that I swoop from page to page and even read the directions or go to another tab to find out more information. I was the type in school who took the exam without ever reading the directions. Most times I nailed it but with techno-ese I have learned I must scroll down. Besides Lizzie, who else is in CA?
Lizzy has a son, Cash and my son Joel. Too far away 😦
Hi Lori,
Trying to find your email, came accross you blog. Love it!!
As a recovering techie, you make me wonder if I should have left the game. Planning to be in OG this week-end and wondering if you’d want to get together to play some form of Mahj either teaching Susan or finding a foursome???
My email elebow@gmail.com
Cheers,
Emily Lebow
Since you’re a Jersey “tomato” I’ve added you to my “New Jersey Honor Roll” in my sidebar. That’s my blogroll for other Jersey bloggers!
I just want to leave a comment by saying your habit of being a Mah Jongg junkie definitely catches my eye. My grandma is the one who taught me how to play. =)
Great blog, photos and words, right down to the title!
Merci beaucoup!
Mmm, cucumbers.
Thanks for an interesting post!

Thanks Patty for stopping by the blog and commenting. I did check out your Vitamin C site and I personally take Esther C every day for my skin. And I also like the sources of Vitamin C in foods too.
